A genetic presentation of images as possibility of knowledge – an introduction to Images Theory on Fichte’s late work
Keywords:
Phenomenology, knowledge, belief, Doctrine of ScienceAbstract
How can we know the world? How is this knowledge possible? Fichte's Doctrine of Sciences tries to answer to these questions from a fenomenologic analysis. In that work, the concept of image has fundamental importance in clarifying the relationship between the subject and the object. These images take role in a factual and also genetical presentation of the world. The factual presentation, however, is insufficient in guaranteeing the possibility of knowledge, as well as its progress. This happens as images take part in a system of knowledge, where they do not yet have full meaning nor goal. For this reason, we have tried to show how the genetical presentation brings meaning and aim to images when these are engendered by common believes as the basis of knowledge.Downloads
