This article discusses the myths that involve the image of the judge and their main task, which is to judge, “to decide”. For this purpose, the text will refer to human mythological constructions and their relations with rites as a way to diminish human anguish and uncertainty. The discussion will focus on the image of the judge and the play “The Wasps” by the Greek author, Aristophanes, written in 422 b.C., highlighting its “mythological” importance for the debate about the present legal system.
Key words: myth, rite, judge, literature, conflict resolution.Downloads
