Golem, homunculus, robôs, andróides e cyborgs: o imaginário cinematográfico na era da cibercultura
Abstract
This article retrieves the evolution of characters and plots of western films that have expressed, at different historical moments, the expectations, hopes and fears of a civilization more and more contaminated by technology, leading to the so-called cyberculture. A text by André Lemos, a kind of prophet of modern times who extols cyborgs, has been used as a starting point for the present article. This text accurately retrieves, throughout the 110 years of cinematographic art, the nature of paradigmatic creatures in their representation of a world marked by a not always smooth relationship among man, technique, and culture.Issue
