Abstract

We share here an analysis of the methodological path based on the recording of experiences through cognitive cartography in Communication studies, in an intervention-research that continues in activity. This study is part of a larger project that seeks to understand which types of media are most effective for contemporary young audiences, considering consumption, credibility, information and affectation. The first steps included recruiting five informants aged between 16 and 18, monitoring their digital social networks and open interviews. From the initial verifications, our hypothesis is that the relationship between young people and the information media has been changing in such a way that the understanding of what is news and the ways of accessing information become more personal and integrated in the daily mediatized flow. The cartographic approach has proven to be useful in monitoring and interpreting these changing processes
