América Latina: erupção de uma filosofia?

Abstract

Como é possível a filosofia na América Latina? Já não existe uma filosofia latino-americana? O que significa filosofar desde o continente em questão? Essas questões são tratadas a partir da proposta de Enrique Dussel de uma filosofia genuinamente latino-americana por ele denominada de Filosofia da Libertação. O que caracteriza tal proposta filosófica, suas críticas às filosofias européias e seus desafios para o pensar filosófico são aqui investigados através de um viés que Dussel rejeita, ou seja, a perspectiva hegeliana. A leitura feita de Hegel hoje permite sugerir que, de certa forma, o Novo Mundo ou a América Latina mereceriam maior e melhor atenção em seu significado para a história da humanidade.
