Rationality and Groundwork of the Theory of Justice as Fairness
Keywords:
Theory of Justice, fairness, original positionAbstract
This article aims to discuss the justification basis of the conception of justice as fairness, such as it is elaborated in A Theory of Justice. Focusing on the configuration of the Original Position – which, in the wake of the contract doctrines, express “the guiding idea” that “the principles of justice for the basic structure of society are the object of the original agreement”– one brings to light, particularly, the notion of rationality of the parties and its relations with the justification claims of the theory as a whole.Downloads
