Considerations about Petrarch’s humanism

This article searches for an interpretation of the thoughts the italian thinker Francesco Petrarca, having as primary objective to explicit the articulation between a critic to speculative philosophy and the ethics present in the self knowledge. Intends at the end to offer a portrait of a humanist in the medieval milieu, and thus to accuse the problems of a strict definition of ‘humanism’.Downloads
