This paper aims to use concepts from the intellectual production of the french philosopher Jacques Rancière to think about Racionais MC’s phographic work, a notorious rap group from São Paulo. Especially regarding the distinction built by the thinker between a stultifying pedagogical logic and an emancipatory one, which is also useful to analyze artistics practices and productions. It is proposed in this article that throughout their musical trajectory, the rappers mentioned approached both one logic and another, being of interest to identify these relationships as well as to point out their potentialities and limitations.
