This article aims to demonstrate that in Einleitung in die Logik und Erkenntnistheorie, from 1906/07, through a critique of skepticism, Husserl promotes a change that will be significant in the later development of his philosophy: the introduction of εποχή. Unlike Greek skepticism, such a concept in Husserl, by suspending judgment, seeks an undoubted fact: the ego. This allows Husserl to overcome skepticism, both in its dogmatic face (denial of the possibility of all knowledge) and critical (suspension of judgment before the scope of knowledge). With this, one can see that by resuming a skeptical concept of ancient philosophy, and opposing relativism, Husserl inaugurates his first draft of a pure philosophy, which will later be realized, in its last phase, as phenomenological- transcendental idealism.
