O presente artigo procura analisar a crítica empreendida pelo filósofo Søren Kierkegaard (1813-1855) ao Movimento Romântico alemão, mais especificamente no que diz respeito ao conceito de ironia, a saber, àquilo que Kierkegaard considerou como um desvio da ironia socrática na apropriação do conceito pelos filósofos e poetas românticos.
