Abstract

This text proposes to discuss the controversy about the use of transgenics in agriculture and also asks about the possibility of a better alternative to them. When we speak of controversy, we refer to a discussion of ideas that reflects opposite positions. Therefore, two different perspectives will be presented on the topic: the perspective of the proponents of transgenics and that of the critics. It is from the latter that agroecology will be proposed as a possible alternative for food production and reproduction thought from an ethical dimension.
