Abstract

A visa?o e? um tema da filosofia da percepc?a?o. Ver e? uma percepc?a?o que pode ser descrita como o processo de extrair informac?o?es do ambiente a partir da luz. No entanto, deparamo-nos com as mais diversas situac?o?es de escurida?o, em que a luminosidade e? ausente, mas em que ainda somos capazes de dizer algo sobre o ambiente: esta? escuro. Uma das explicac?o?es, fornecida por Roy Sonrensen, diz que somos capazes de ver a escurida?o em sentido robusto. Andre? Abath, por usa vez, propo?e uma explicac?a?o alternativa baseada na fenomenologia da escurida?o, que diz que perceber a escurida?o e? perceber ause?ncias. No presente trabalho sera? apresentada uma descric?a?o de percepc?a?o da escurida?o enquanto uma das func?o?es da visa?o, bem como o que acontece quando falhamos em captar qualquer coisa no ambiente.
