Aphorization in Twitter: A discourse analysis of the hashtag #aprendinoenem
Abstract
This paper examines the tweets that have been marked with the hashtag #aprendinoenem during the 2015 Brazilian High School National Exam – the Enem – and follow the logic of quoting the exam questions. It is tested the hypothesis that these tweets are aphorizations, as defined by Dominique Maingueneau. It is concluded that these tweets, by decontextualizing the question fragments, promote images (in and by the enunciation) that intend to discredit the authority of the exam.
Keywords: aphorization, Twitter, Enem.
