The ‘already-said’ about/in Distance Education in the initial training of teachers of Portuguese
Abstract
This article presents an analysis of discursive productions of undergraduates from a Portuguese Teacher Education Distance Program at a public university located in Southern Brazil. The analysis studies the axiological valuation that these subjects give to distance education. The study was guided by concepts from the writings of the Bakhtin Circle. The research data consist of 106 utterances, from discussion forums, posted on the Ambiente Virtual de Ensino e Aprendizagem [Virtual Teaching and Learning Environment] from 2007 to 2011. Regarding the discursive regularities observed, the utterances point to the re-utterance of already-said discourses on Distance Education with respect to the quality of education and students’ autonomy in this particular modality of education.
Keywords: already-said discourses, Distance Education, Evaluative horizon.
