This article started from a bigger study, whose research problem intends to investigate if, using the contextualization of classic film noir and what is called neonoir film, is possible to consider a modern noir approach. The hedonism was chosen as the cern of one of the typologies used for the analysis, considering its relevance to the study of genre, and it’s also intended, in this article, to demonstrate how the hedonism is worked in the classic film noir, backed by the figure of the femme fatale. Methodological strategies of film analysis were used, from Aumont and Marie (2004) and Vanoye and Goliot-Lèté (1994), which permit to confirm that the femme fatale orientates the actions of the protagonist, valuing the hedonism since the classic period of the film noir.
Keywords: film noir, hedonism, femme fatale, film analysis.
