Fold, time and becoming in contemporary fashion: An essay on fashion and transgression
Abstract
The article starts from the sociocultural and technological contexts --interfering in the timing of senses, sensations and bodily affections-- in order to question the processuality of fashion, its historical time, its mutations and its contemporary affirmation as an autophagic system from which the becoming of culture emerges. It discusses critically the phenomenon of fashion as an operator of consumption and a producer of trends.
Key words: fashion, fold, counterculture.
