The visual dimension of web environments and users’ participation
Abstract
Web 2.0 functions as an intelligent intermediation medium that shapes a cooperation Ethics among users and other agents on the web. In this context, the user participation in the dynamics and maintenance of digital environments increases more and more. And this movement concerns not only the verbal meaning, but also the ways of its visual organization and presentation. This article focuses on two kinds of user’s participation in the visual definition of digital environments – the adaptive layout and the layout customization – and it searches to subside best understandings of visual dimension, and of collaborative creation processes between users and designers.
