Strategy and design: Construction of contemporary approaches
Abstract
The term “strategic design” has been used in various contexts, creating ambiguities that are linked to the fact that the very term “strategy” has a broad meaning, with different nuances. Initially treated in business administration, the study of strategies was eventually extended to other areas, along with the use of strategic planning in new environments, such as institutional ones. The vision of strategy in design followed this expansion and now also covers systemic visions, aiming not only the development of enterprises, but the search for sustainability. This article seeks to clarify the different approaches of strategic design.
Key words: strategic design, product development, design for sustainability.Downloads
