Mediatização e capitalismo: dinâmicas de apropriação, aceleração e ativação

Résumé

Este artigo explora teoricamente o papel da mediatização no desenvolvimento do
capitalismo. A partir do modelo teórico de Rosa et al. (2017), defende-se que os
sucessivos envolvimentos sócio-tecnológicos são primordiais para assegurar processos renovados de apropriação, aceleração e ativação – os três motores que garantem a estabilização dinâmica do capitalismo. O artigo argumenta que a mediatização desempenha um papel de acelerador para o capitalismo, ao mesmo tempo que assegura a sua estabilidade. Neste contexto, acelerador deve ser entendido como uma condição prévia funcional para uma aceleração contínua.
