About Piketty’s book Capital in the Twenty-First Century: A reading from Ecuador

The book Capital in the Twenty-First Century, written by the French author Thomas Piketty, has become a world reference for anyone who wants to understand, reflect and analyze how income inequality and concentration of wealth occur in capitalism. This paper makes a review of this book, highlighting the key findings and lessons to learn from the history of the production of income inequality and wealth in more than two centuries of empirical evidence.
