Abstract

En septiembre de 2005, al calor del debate sobre la Constitución europea, unos cien intelectuales europeos firmaron un Manifiesto por una Europa social y solidaria, que iniciamos con Marc Humbert, Matthieu de Nanteuil y Denis Stokkink. Antes que empiecen las elecciones europeas, habida cuenta tanto de la crisis económica, social y ecológica sin precedente que atraviesa el mundo como de los cambios mayores ocurridos desde hace cuatro años, nos pareció útil proceder a su reactualización y publicarlo nuevamente, para favorecer la reflexión crítica acerca del futuro de Europa.
