Abstract

The present paper aims at to understand what the "new economical social movements" are and which is the role of these regarded to the progress of the market economy. Making use of theoretical elements of the "new economical sociology" and of the theory of the "new social movements", it is analyzed the constitution and the potential of these movements. Therefore, the more the contemporary sociological theories put the cultural conflict as its core, the more the possibilities of sociocultural transformation get its relevance in our analysis reached by the movements. In this aspect, some transformations promoted are already evident: in the realm of the values the solidarity, the recognition, the cooperation, the egalitarianism obtain support; the organization of production can be based on the cooperative work and in the self-management; and the consumption can be noticed in bases where the profit or the smallest price are not the only interests presents in trade relationships.
