Empreiteiras sob um olhar global: notas sobre os processos de internacionalização da Construtora Norberto Odebrecht, Acciona e Dragados y Construcciones S.A. (1966 – 2014)

Abstract

This work presents some notes on a comparative study between the internationalization processes of the construction companies Norberto Odebrecht, from Brazil, and the Spanish companies Dragados y Construcciones and Acciona, between 1966 and 2014. Based on the paths of these business groups, I projected a dialogue with paradigms of a business historiography that not only manages to identify points of convergence in internationalization practices, but also places them under a structural perspective that stress the uneven aspect of global capitalist development. To do so, there is a combination of bibliographic analysis on the subject, documents made available by companies and reports produced by consultancies on the subject. In this way, the research note is organized into three sections: in the first, we present and outline the research problem; the second of a theoretical-methodological nature, deals with the importance of totalizing and global paradigms for the study of these large economic groups. Finally, the third addresses the issue of sources.
