Journalists of Labor Press from São Paulo: new configurations of the world of work

Abstract

This paper is the result of an investigation that searched to reflect on of labor press today. The main goal was to understand the work of labor press in the city of São Paulo and in the great ABC, from a group of professionals who labor press are linked to the Central Única dos Trabalhadores (CUT), the largest union center in Brazil and the fifth in the world. Among the specific objectives, is to understand the motivations of union labor press to work in the area; to identify the work regimes to which they are submitted and to verify which are the journalistic production processes of the union press. For this, quantitative (online form) and qualitative (interviews) empirical methods were used.
