O leitor infiel diante dos mapas da mídia semanal performativa
Abstract
This article is based upon Austin’s concept of performative speech act, in order to examine the performative role played by weekly media. Firstly the said concept is introduced, discussing it from other viewpoints, such as Deleuze’s and Buttler’s. Secondly, we discuss how weekly media, particularly Veja magazine, creates words of command and success maps in the globalized world for its readers. Which is the position of the enunciator and the receptor within this “educative” economy (rather than informative), beyond informative journalism? The figure of the unfaithful reader is proposed, as a model to educate politically aware readers, less guided by a powerful enunciator.
Key words: weekly media, performativity, discourse.Downloads
