Educating as a radical act of communication (Thinking of Pablo Freire and the society about to change)
Abstract
The article resumes readings of Paulo Freire’s work in order to update the relationship between communication and education and to look for the relevance of his thinking for new dilemmas, such as migration, international relations, exclusion and globalization. It discusses how the way Freire views education adds elements to the construction of communication theories and policies. The re-reading reveals the greatness of that educator’s work and its prophetic dimension on the way towards the liberation of men and women.
