From art history to media
Abstract
Within the framework of a semiotic reading, this paper presents theoretical references from art history that could be used as elements to reflect on the creative aspects of graphic design in journalistic illustrations or print ads. It aims at establishing connections between the principles discussed in the area of arts and the features of media, which was the topic of the author’s doctoral dissertation.
