Ideology and sense effect in 1800’s images. Between the surface of the seen and the density of the forgotten
Abstract
Starting from a theoretical perspective that rearticulates historical materialism and the concept of ideology according to Louis Althusser and Michel Pêcheux, this articles prioritizes some procedures that favor the reading of images from the past. These procedures are based on the conditions of the technique of photography and on the social production relations in a class society.
