Carnap and logical construction of emotions

Abstract

In the Aufbau, Carnap mentioned the possibility of carrying out a logical construction of emotions in a way completely analogous to the construction of the sensory qualities. This task, however, was never accomplished. I intend to show that the logical construction suggested by Carnap requires significant changes in the construction protocols in the Aufbau. In particular, amendments which allow to recognize the genuine duration of emotions. I also suggest protocols of recognition for the direction and the expression of emotions.
