Ethics and Applied Ethics
Abstract
The growing concern with ethics has promoted a turn within philosophy and consequently within ethics itself. Besides discussing the foundation, ethical reflection must also deal with the issue of application, as the two of them are equally important realms. Applied ethics is mirrored in the great ethical theories, and for this reason their application depends on a specific model and methodology, which casuistry attempts to delineate. Finally the article raises the question whether an ethics applied to the Latin American context is possible.
Key words: ethics and applied ethics, founding and application, casuistry, Latin American applied ethics.Downloads
