University and community in the perspective of the student movements of the 1960’s
Abstract
In this article I intend to discuss the praxis of student movements in the sixties and its relations to the communities around the universities. I evidence, first, a relative failure of effective actions, because the student movements were mainly worried about national politics and the general routes of the societies. Indeed, in their richness and complexity, the student movements of the sixties have faced the relation with the community by creative projects and propositions of practical action, which reveals a potentiality that could have been better used.
Key words: student movements, communitarian education, university, community, sixties.Downloads
