Abstract

Habermas, herdeiro da escola de Frankfurt e defensor da ética discursiva, tem feito considerações acerca da biotecnologia moderna e suas aplicações, particularmente àquelas voltadas para a medicina. O presente estudo buscará reconstruir a posição de Habermas, traçando paralelos com a noção de “falácia naturalista” mooreana e com as considerações de Nagel em Ethics without Biology a respeito da especificidade da reflexão moral. Além disso, serão tecidas algumas considerações críticas acerca da pertinência dos argumentos e das pressuposições habermasianas nesses argumentos contra a clonagem humana.
