Teacher’s act according to the mediation of NTIC: Between planned and real work activity

Abstract

This study investigates the teaching act in a context of technological and professional higher education by means of interpretative analysis of the language actions. It aimed at discussing the teachers’ labor mediated by digital tools and the factors of these circumstances that prevent or impede the prescribed, planned and real work. The data emerged from the implementation of an instructional didactic sequence of the technical report textual gender which was carried out in a class of the Internet Systems Technological Course by means of the mediation of new technologies of information and communication. This study was guided by the Sociodiscoursive Interacionism approach and the perspectives of the teaching understood as work. The contributions of the digital tools were also presented. The results revealed that the teachers’ act is constantly reconfi gured by the changes which have been arising from new technologies, promoting confl icts, tensions, disruptions and transformations allowing, this way, to understand teachers’ real work in the educational context.
