O ensino pragmático da voz passiva
Abstract
This text presents an analysis of the long passive voice (“be + past participle of the other verb) based on three Portuguese grammars and on three English grammars so that problems in the way it is presented in prescriptive Portuguese grammars and in the way it is taught in Brazilian schools can be identified. Based on this analysis, suggestions for the teaching of the passive voice are offered in order for the teacher to incorporate the pragmatic dimension into his practice, tackling the reasons for the use of the passive voice and the kinds of text in which the passive voice tends to occur more frequently.
Key words: passive voice, Portuguese teaching, pragmatic dimension.Downloads
