This study analyzes how social actors in a network resisted and reacted discursively to the abandonment of quilombola communities by the Brasilian Federal Government in managing the new coronavirus pandemic. Based on the assumptions of the socio-cognitive approach of Critical Discourse Studies (Tomazi e Cabral, 2017; van Dijk, 1980, 2016, 2017a, 2017b), in dialogue with the social sciences (Santos, 2020; Mbembe; 2018; Oliveira, 2016) and with theoretical-methodological proposals that study phenomena innate to the digital (Santaella, 2016; Malini e Antoun, 2013; Malini 2020a, 2020b e 2020c; Mintz, 2019; Paveau, 2017), we examine how discursive structures such as macropropositions, lexicon, discursive topics, verbal transitivity, multimodality, argumentation and quantification (numbers game), impacted by technological structures, were mobilized by (and in) the discourse for resistance to necropolitics practiced by the government. The analyzes of postings made on the Facebook platform identify, for example, that these discursive structures acted in the strategy of denouncing the losses caused by the necropolitics while reinforcing the arguments in favor of special protection for quilombolas. Furthermore, in the interactions studied, we identified performativity as a characteristic element of these resistence discourses.
