The 1990 Orthographic Agreement and its interventions in grammatical description
Abstract
The text of the orthographic agreement enforced since the first of January of 2009 has a strong political meaning to the Portuguese language speaking nations. Its elaboration, however, has embodied some decisions that surpassed the limits of orthography and resulted in description changes in the fields of phonetics, morphology, and syntax.
