Relationship between competitiveness and strategic process in manufacturing: an analysis based on organizational knowledge
Resumen
This article empirically analyzes two central issues in production strategy: formalization and production proactiveness in the strategic process. Analysis were based on organizational knowledge and the use of a framework based on the resources and competencies of the companies. The sample used in this survey is composed of four industries. The first finding indicates that there was no pattern as we analyzed production’s strategic process. Nevertheless, results suggested that market leaders use a formal strategic plans more effectively than nonmarket leaders. Similar situation was also identified when the production proactiveness was analysed.
