Abstract

Urban forms are controlled by applied rules, that may be insufficient to garantee adequade daylight performance at indoor environments of all floors of a building. Therefore, this work evaluate the combination of urban indexes (Floor Space Index- FSI, Ground Space Index – GSI, and number of floors), and the daylight performance (Spatial Daylight Autonomy – sDA300,50%), in isolated tower typology in the lote, for the city of Florianópolis – Brasil. Other parameters area evaluated, the vertical obstruction angle, the percentagem of visible sky and Open Space Ratio – OSR, relating to the total build area with the open area. As research results, values of the OSR and maximum obstruction angle and minimum percentage of visible sky are identified, corresponding to sDA = 45%, so that scenarios of diferent IA, TO and number of floors, obtain results considered satisfactory. The gradually analyzes permit the development of specific strategies for each floor, allowing to choose the most appropriate configuration for a given project condition. It was found that the urban rules created from the scale of the lot, restrict architectural creativity, as they limit the dispositions among buildings and the geometry, important requirements of architectural, urban and comfort quality.
