Italian immigrants and the Società Italiani Uniti: some preliminaries considerations
Abstract
The present article intends to make some preliminaries considerations on the Società Italiani Uniti, an Italian association that existed in Araraquara-SP in the period between 1920 and 1940. It was a partited space. On one hand, it functioned as an association of mutual aid, beneficence and also as sociability space. On the other hand, it functioned as center of filiation to the Fascist National Party. This article aims to disclose part of a context of Italian immigration still little studied in Brazil.
Key words: Italian immigrants, associations of mutual aid, statutes.Downloads
