Abstract
In this paper, we discuss gender visions in the environmental resources used in the Amazon forest in the region of Xapuri, in the period from 1964 to 2006. This study was based on the methodology of oral history, providing material that enabled us to practice our interpretations. We consider gender as a concept of relation being a useful category of historical analysis.
