The objective of this article is to review the history of meteorological observations in the Chilean North Patagonia, taking as a reference the case of the meteorological station “Juan Kalt Bode”, which has uninterrupted information from 1935 to present. Initially, antecedents related to the meteorological records in this space during the 19th and 20th centuries are mentioned, to then specifically examine the activity of this Patagonian observatory considering two aspects: his journey and the data he has provided for 75 years. With the above, this article tries to contribute to the knowledge about the sources of information about the climate in this part of the world.
