Qualitative pollen analysis of Late Pleistocene and Holocene sediments obtained in four logs made along the deltaic environments of Doce River, in Espirito Santo state coastal plain are presented. Twenty four distinct non-pollinic palynomorphs are described and illustrated, attesting the presence of diversified pteridophyta, freshwater algae, and a minor component of testate amoebae and palynoforaminifers. The comparison with modern flora and its ecological appeals were made, looking for applications in a past analogue environmental context.
