This paper investigates the psychopathological grounds required by Winnicttian psychoanalysis, building its methodological structure with theoretical and critical reflections on this author’s writings. It was possible to notice that his thoughts align coherently with the adoption of a peculiar relational psychopathological model which opposes and rejects a pulsional perspective and values the authentic personal singularity and the human bonds. Therefore, there is the revelation of a differentiated view of emotional health, which brings up important clinical implications.
