This study sought to synthesize the results of mindfulness-based interventions with the elderly, based on an integrative literature review carried out in the Scopus, PubMed and BVS databases. A total of 121 articles were found, of which 12 made up the final sample of this review, using inclusion and exclusion criteria. The results showed that the interventions, with emphasis on the MBSR and MBCT, contributed to the reduction of symptoms of depression, anxiety, stress and insomnia, generating a better perception of subjective well-being, increased quality of life and reduction of psychological symptoms. It is recommended that future interventions implement criteria for evaluating and monitoring their respective proposals, in addition to using longitudinal and correlational methods.
