Studies have shown an increase in stress levels and other psychopathologies in college students. However, the search for help and adherence to mental health programs or service at universities is still less than the demand. This study aimed to evaluate the predictors of dropout among undergraduate students who proposed to participate in a program based on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy for stress reduction. This is a retrospective longitudinal study. In total, 44 students started the program, and 21 completed the intervention. The dropout rate in this sample was consistent with previous studies. Binary logistic regression analyzes were performed to identify potentially predictive variables for dropouts. The analyzes indicated depression symptoms as the main predictor of dropout, which presented a statistically significant difference (p=0.021) when comparing the groups. Thus, it is essential to include, in mental health interventions for university students, specific strategies for this symptoms, which can significantly influence non-adherence to the programs.
