REGENERATIVE DESIGN GUIDELINES: A REVIEW ALONG THE LIMITS OF THE UNIVERSITY CAMPUS

The research observes the development trends of university models in order to present a planning model based on the theme of regenerative design, to think about the urban decline and what policies and initiatives could be developed to help remedy the environmental problems found in campi with its surroundings. The methodology, applied in the urban context of the Campus Headquarters of the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) was carried out in two moments: first, with a qualitative purpose, with the use of the Regenerative Project Guides for the University Campus, it was observed the existing problems in the study clipping; and from them the regenerative potentials were elaborated. In the second moment, the regenerative potentials obtained were organized by subject similarity in 10 Topics; thus setting the guidelines for the regenerative project at the UFSC's Trindade Campus. After the application of the present methodology, it is concluded that the concept and the evaluation of the regenerative project provides the basis for aligning a new development process that reconciles human development efforts with environmental recovery.
