Abstract

“Urban studies” are a very complex phenomenon that owns his singular history of approaches. Urban studies were understood as a functional structure, with economic and social aspects working for social planning, or, in a different way, bound up with urbanism traditions, as organizations of spaces and architectures. Another example is the studies that recognize the evolution of urbanism in history related their facts to a time-line. Elsewhere, our point of view will not submit urban studies to social planning, historical evolution or spaces organization. Moreover, recognizing critically the contributions of these traditions, we will try to analyze the strategies of meaning and social sense of certain codes, values and cultural patterns present in our contemporary cities. This brief paper will analyze the singular case of an urban intervention in an Argentinean city: Santa Fe, 2006. Our approaches comes from different disciplinary backgrounds working together, strategically, to conform the “transversal and interdisciplinary” project, in order to suggest and create productive analyzes of the experiences and records of the social urban events.
