Avaliação dos custos logísticos em empresas do setor alimentício

Abstract


In a strategic way, the support areas of an organization, such as the logistics, have great impact over its performance and costs of its products and services. Thus, the evaluation and control of the logistics are important for the perpetuity and competitiveness, not only of the company, but also of the chain it is inserted. This article presents some solutions, found in literature, for the logistic cost problematic and, through a case study, compares these solutions to the expenditure system of two companies inserted in the food business. In this sense, the main expenditure systems and some particular logistic methods, adopted nowadays, are examined. At last, the research points that both studied companies do not treat its logistics expenditures as the literature methods recommend.
