This article carries out an “x-ray” of academic publications, in the format of dossiers, related to the theme “Sociology Teaching” (2007-2017). Attention was focused primarily on four essential elements of the scientific publication in question: (i) the journal; (ii) the organizers; (iii) the authors, and; (iv) the articles. The term “radiography” alludes to the purpose of uncovering non-explicit configurations in the dossiers under analysis, which corroborates the understanding of the recent history of this subfield of Sociology. Among the identified points we highlight the central role of public universities and the importance of researchers linked to the institutions located in the Northeast and South in the expansion of the spaces of research publication on the teaching of Sociology, as it was evident by the recent expansion of the social prestige of the subfield of research within the academic community, as well as its enlargement.
