Abstract

The aim of this paper is to reconstruct, from a eurocentric perspective, how migration is objectivated, today, in Cape Verde, the circumstances in which immigration is thought and the conditions to understand it out of the patterns that shape it into a Western form, static. Here, witchcraft appears as an obstacle to this relation of domination.

Key words: Cape Verde, West Africa, (im)migration, witchcraft.
